About Course

Build and interpret a small life cycle assessment from goal and scope through inventory, impact assessment and interpretation. Use supplied datasets to practise functional units, allocation, impact calculations, sensitivity and defensible comparisons. The course covers multiple environmental indicators and critical-review considerations without requiring paid software.

What Will You Learn?

  • LO01: Define an LCA goal, functional unit and appropriate boundary.
  • LO02: Construct and check a small inventory with transparent data and allocation choices.
  • LO03: Calculate and interpret separate environmental indicators without conflating units or impacts.
  • LO04: Evaluate trade-offs, sensitivity, review needs and limits on comparative claims.
