About Course

A free, four-hour introduction to workplace health and safety. Learn to recognise hazards, assess risk, choose controls and respond to concerns across offices, warehouses and worksites. Covers traffic, manual handling, screens, equipment, substances, emergencies, PPE, welfare, fatigue, stress, lone working and contractor coordination. Includes 12 modules, 24 lessons with activities, 30 quiz questions and a fictional workplace-review assignment.

  • LO07: Explain emergency reporting, evacuation, accountability and first-aid boundaries.
  • LO08: Explain PPE selection, fit, compatibility, pre-use checks and limitations.
  • LO09: Recognise welfare, heat and fatigue concerns and escalate unsafe conditions.
  • LO10: Identify work-related psychosocial risks and appropriate lone-working safeguards.
  • LO11: Recognise contractor coordination, permit and competence requirements for higher-risk work.
  • LO12: Report events factually, prioritise corrective actions and evaluate evidence of improvement.

Welfare, heat and fatigue
Recognise conditions that undermine safe, healthy work.

Psychosocial risks and lone working
Address work-related stress and risks of working without immediate help.

Contractors and higher-risk tasks
Coordinate shared work and recognise specialist authorisation needs.

Reporting and improvement
